Toca da Raposa
Toca da Raposa is Constança Cordeiro’s first bar. It opened its doors in 2018, in the heart of Chiado, the famous neighbourhood in downtown Lisbon centre. The name means the Fox’s Den (Toca means Den and Raposa means Fox) and comes from Constança’s second last name, “Raposo” which roughly translates to Fox.
Toca’s style is clean and modern. It has raw concrete walls, yellow and green turquoise velvet couches, and modern arc lamps. The bar itself is squared, composed entirely of pink limestone. Additionally, the only decoration you will see are fourteen label-less bottles sitting atop fourteen light spots on the back wall, overlooking the bar station. It’s simplicity and beauty at its finest.
Cocktail wise, Toca has a 10 to 14 drinks menu, based solely on creations, in the literal sense of the word: they were created from scratch, using know-how and creativity. The focus is on flavour. All ingredients are hand crafted, fruits become natural liqueurs, and foraged plants and herbs are either infused or distilled in house. Toca’s drinks have a strong and vibrant flavour and are crafted with seasonal ingredients and locally grown produce.
